Rail Industry Worker

Mid-Range Plant Competency

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Perform pre-start operation procedures
Operate the plant
Optimise machine performance
Travel the machine
Pack-up and secure tamper at end of shift
Maintenance
Emergency procedures engine, pneumatic or hydraulic failure
Emergency towing.

Competency in following machine/s will be required to be able to obtain the competency to operate these items of plant:

Sleeper inserter / extractor
Tie crane
Scarifier
Rail lifter
Vibratool
Other equipment as required or agreed upon.

Course Outcome	On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a certificate of attendance for Mid-Range Plant Competency
Pre requisite	TLIC0010 Propel and Operate Light On-Track Equipment
Course Duration	1 Day
