- TLID1001 Shift Materials Safely Using Manual Handling Methods
At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify the risks hazards associated with manual handling activities, including fatigue management
- Describe the types of injuries that can result from unsafe manual handling activities
- Identify techniques that can reduce the likelihood of injuries from manual handling activities
- Outline factors that must be considered when planning for manual handling activities
- Identify the requirements for safe handling and use of hazardous substances
- Outline the correct manual handling techniques for lifting, lowering and carrying, pulling and pushing and points of balance in accordance with workplace procedures and OH&S standards
- Demonstrate correct team lifting techniques.
