At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify what is required to enter and work in the rail reserve/corridor
- Identify the safety precautions and requirements of working in the rail reserve/corridor
- Identify the requirements of working with Road/Rail vehicles including:
- Precautions
- Hazards
- Inspections
- Servicing
- Re-fuelling
- Lubricating
- Safety devices
- Know the safety precautions and restrictions required to operate road/rail vehicles
- including:
- Traveling
- Operating, boarding/leaving
- Braking
- Reverse travel
- On and off tracking
- Restricted access areas
- Breakdwons
- Hydraulic hoses
- Towing
- Emergency Removal from track.

Current category 1 – rail medical (NCOP compliant) & relevant ticket / high risk licence for vehicle being operated |
