TLIW2032 Principles of Tamping Machine Operations

At the successful completion of this course you will be able to:

Determine the components and where applicable, individual work stations of a tamping machine
Understand the purpose and associated risks of components and work stations
Identify the basic functions of the Tamping Machine in relation to constructing and maintaining the track to the required track geometry
Identify hazards and risks associated with tamping machine operations
Understand ballast profile standards and basic track geometry and terminology.
